How to Get a Refund From PIA
To get a PIA refund, apply through the same channel you used to buy the ticket and follow the airline’s refund process. Timing and eligibility depend on the fare rules and why you are asking for a refund. Check PIA’s website (piac.com.pk) for its current procedure.
Who can get a refund
Refunds are usually available when PIA cancels a flight or significantly changes the schedule. Voluntary refunds depend on the fare conditions: some fares are non-refundable or carry a penalty.
Steps
- Find your ticket and booking reference.
- Check the fare rules in your booking confirmation or on PIA’s website.
- Apply through the same channel:
- Bought on the PIA website or app: use the online refund or “manage booking” option, or contact the airline. - Bought at a PIA office: apply there with your documents. - Bought through a travel agent: ask the agent to submit the request.
- Keep proof of the request, such as an email, case number or receipt.
- Follow up if you do not receive confirmation or payment.
Timing
Refunds can take weeks. Refunds are normally paid to the original form of payment.
If you are refused or delayed
Write to the airline’s customer service, keep copies, and escalate if needed; see how to file a complaint with the CAA.
